I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Yes! Snow has started to fall, albeit a few tiny snowflakes fluttering past my window. And Christmas is almost here, at least the end of term is. Going into Week 8 of term yesterday heralded the wind-down to going home for a rest.
Speaking of resting, why is it that the less sleep I have and/or the more exertion I have put out the previous day, the more alert I feel? Who knows. Yesterday I felt the urge to do a two kilometre session on the ergs (rowing machines) getting a time of 8m48. Eeeek- need to shave at least 48 seconds off that. Then became all cultural and went off to see a show at Queen's- The Government Inspector- set in a little peasant town in Russia. A very good laugh indeed, and a good late-night show to see (curtains up at 11pm).
Back to the studies.

Wolfie writes Benjamin, it's Queens' College, not Queen's College (which is at Oxford, and more properly referred to as The Queen's College). Queens' College, Cambridge, was founded twice by two different queens, hence the positioning of the apostrophe. (And lest I have to chide you for a similar error on a subsequent occasion, Cambridge has Magdalene College, Oxford has Magdalen College.) Tsk. Commented: 26-11-05 14:25

I'm sure that there's a joke in there somewhere about the two different queens, this being Cambridge and all...
And isn't that other college pronounced Cai-us, isn't it? Oh.
