Where do we go now?
So, the time in Finland drew to a close, with a trip to Tallinn and a rather scary trip to a Finnish highschool to help bottom-set ninth-graders learn English, and my learning the best way to cause serious offence to a whole nation. Never say a picture of the president looks like a member of the opposite sex, even if accidentally blurting it out when confused: a picture of the lady herself
So, after being back a week, and seeing Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (what a film!), I was off again to Leamington Spa for the final round-up to the Smallpeice Gap Year. Seeing everyone together again for the first time in months was really good- catching up on all the tales of time abroad and whatnot- and it certainly was a lot of fun, even if we had to work on our presentations around that.
For the Finland contingent's Suomi display stand, Sam provided an excellent cartographical resource, with drew people's gazes and quite possibly caused mild shock, or more hopefully major mirth. Scandinavia, when drawn in a particular way without Norway, has a particular likeness to an image of a big schlong with scrotum, especially with an enhanced bell-end shaped region of Sweden. Superb.
So, now it is all over, and I am back at home, and really quite glum at Smallpeice being over- I just hope we all keep in touch and have the chance for many reunions. The Real World has real problems, and finding a job is one of them- anyone in need of a website by any chance? I charge reasonable rates... !
